Gallery One - includes twenty-four uniquely printed photographs taken by Mary Kay Fry in Assisi, Italy, the birthplace of St. Francis and St. Clare. Over the past eight hundred years Assisi has become a world center of peace.
Mary Kay printed each photograph in this gallery by transferring the original image onto watercolor paper. This original image was then scanned, enlarged, and printed onto watercolor paper. The transfer process creates a timeless quality to her 21st century images. It reflects not only the energy of the medieval town of Assisi but also its serene tranquility.
